The Story Behind the Art
Art runs in Tanya’s blood. As a third-generation artist from England, her love for creativity began as a child, watching her father paint and admiring her grandfather’s work. These early experiences shaped a lifelong passion for creating and exploring artistic expression.
As a teenager, Tanya explored hands-on subjects—colored pencils, woodworking, metal, and plastic crafting—discovering the joy of making things with her own hands.
In her early 20s, she moved to Chicago where she met a talented BFA artist who inspired her to explore the Art Institute of Chicago and dive deeper into fine art. The rich emotion of Gustav Klimt and the dreamlike quality of Claude Monet shaped her growing aesthetic.
After relocating to Las Vegas in 2004, Tanya joined the local artist guild, which reignited her creative spark and encouraged her to start showing and selling her work. Travel, nature, and urban landscapes continue to inspire her today, influencing both her painting and photography.
Tanya has cultivated a diverse creative skill set. She has worked in oil, acrylic, glass blowing, stained glass, photography, and woodworking—and is currently focused on fused glass and pigmented resin on wood. These mediums allow her to explore vibrant color, texture, and movement in ways that captivate viewers.
What drives Tanya most is connection. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone pause, smile, or feel something when experiencing her work. Through her art, she shares joy, emotion, and a sense of wonder with the world.
